The marking on the bottle is part of the information about the product, but it does not alone describe the entire experience. Eau de toilette, eau de parfum and extract may differ not only in proportions, but also in composition. When comparing versions, it is worth starting with their full names.
Designation and composition are two questions
The abbreviations EDT and EDP are used for eau de toilette and eau de parfum respectively. However, do not assume one percentage table applicable to all manufacturers. If a specific concentration is important, look for the manufacturer's declaration for a given version, instead of adding a value based on the abbreviation itself.
The same name does not guarantee the same scent
EDP doesn't have to be just a stronger-smelling version of EDT. Compare sheet music, description and packaging. The producer may place the accents in the composition differently. Changing the variant while maintaining a similar name is therefore a reason for a new test, not an automatic replacement of the existing fragrance.
Do not calculate durability from percentages
Concentration is not sufficient to predict wear time. Do not convert it linearly into hours or the number of sprays needed to achieve the effect. When choosing, compare the information on the bottle with your own assessment of the character and intensity. A higher rating does not automatically mean greater comfort in every situation.
What to check before purchasing
Write down the full name, version number and capacity. When you compare prices, make sure you are comparing the same product. The difference in cost may be due to a different version or packaging, and not solely due to promotion. The price converted to the same volume is also helpful.
