Applying to cleansed skin means preparing the surface for care. It does not require strong degreasing, scrubbing or hot water.
No excessive friction
Sweat, pollution and previous cosmetics may remain on the skin. Their gentle removal facilitates even distribution of the next preparation. This does not require rubbing until it feels completely dry or squeaky. Too intense washing may impair comfort and disrupt the epidermal barrier. It is worth being careful in delicate, recently shaved or already irritated places. Clear skin and aggressively degreased skin are not the same condition and do not provide equal tolerance.
Dry or slightly damp
The requirement for cleansing does not determine whether the preparation should be applied to dry skin. With some ordinary moisturizing products, a slightly moist surface may improve the ease of application and reduce the evaporation of water after washing. Other formulations specifically recommend drying. So read the full instructions first. Application after bathing should not be explained by the alleged permanent opening of pores, which would guarantee that all cosmetic ingredients reach deep into the tissues.
Simple step routine
Choose a gentle cleansing method appropriate to the application site and gently dry the skin if the product requires it. Do not use alcohol or disinfectants preventively just to prepare the surface. Peeling is also not a mandatory step before each serum or gel. If severe tightness appears after washing, evaluate your entire care regimen. Adding more cosmetics does not automatically solve the problem of excessively irritating cleansing and may make it difficult to assess the cause of discomfort.
