FEROSUP · Supplements

The form of a supplement is the form in which it is offered: capsule, tablet, liquid or powder. It affects convenience and measurement, but does not replace information about the composition.

Form and content

A capsule may contain a mixture of powders, and a tablet may contain ingredients compressed with excipients. The liquid requires correct measurement of the volume or number of drops. No one figure is universal proof of better performance. The comparison should include the type and amount of ingredients in the recommended portion and their chemical forms. A similar packaging appearance or trade name does not mean the same composition of tablets and drops. The same applies to different package sizes sold under a common brand.

Convenience and instructions

When choosing, consider swallowability and measurement accuracy. Not every capsule can be opened and not every tablet can be crushed or divided. Changes may make it difficult to maintain the correct portion and deviate from the intended use. If the label does not allow modifications, ask the manufacturer or pharmacist. Powder from an open capsule does not automatically become a dissolving product. The additional casing or form of the preparation may have an importance that is not visible by appearance alone.

Compare offers

Check the sales unit and number of servings: 60 capsules does not always correspond to 60 days. In liquids, separate the bottle capacity from the ingredient content in the daily dose. Pay attention to the coating and other ingredients if they are relevant to your diet or tolerance. The name spray is not sufficient to determine the route of use: an oral preparation and an external cosmetic are different products. The reference point remains the full labeling of a specific version, not a photo, shape of the dispenser or a description of a similar preparation.
