A product whose melted mass is intended to be applied to the skin in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. It can combine oils and waxes with a fragrance composition, creating a massage lubricant. It is not interchangeable with a regular decorative candle. Before application, turn off the flame and check the product temperature, carefully following the rules given on the label of a given variant.
Cosmetics in candle-like packaging
In a massage candle, the composition of the mass intended for contact with the skin and the method of using it are important. The consistency changes under the influence of heat, but this does not mean that each candle becomes a care oil after melting. Decorative products may contain materials not intended for such application. Also in a cosmetic candle, the temperature depends on the burning time and conditions. The safe moment and method of application should be read from the instructions for a given product.
The vessel, flame and liquid mass have different temperatures. Assessment of one element is not sufficient to determine the temperature of the entire product. The instructions should specify extinguishing and application method. Ordinary decorative wax should not be used as a substitute for material intended by the manufacturer for contact with skin.
Meaning and application
Only a product whose manufacturer has intended such use may be used for massage. There is no substitute for an ordinary scented candle. Before use, check the instructions for a specific package, as preparation and application rules may vary.
In practice
Make sure you have a stable, resistant surface and remove flammable objects from around the flame. Do not leave a burning product unattended. Read the instructions for extinguishing, preparation time and checking the temperature from the instructions, without copying the rules of another candle.
Don't assume a safe temperature just because the word massage is in the name. Do not pour the product into the eyes and do not use it in places not indicated on the label. Burns or pain require discontinuation of use, not grinding the preparation.
